Аston - продукт российского производителя Gladiators Software. Основным достоинством программы по сравнению с конкурентами является ее быстродействие. Aston не загружает процессор и память, а испльзует свой shell (необходима переагрузка), работающий довольно стабильно. Как и в Talisman, интерфейс Aston легко меняется, а сделать собственный не составит особого труда. Каждый элемент поддается детальной настройке с помощью визуального меню, однако некоторые параметры изменяются в небольшом диапазоне. Программа позволяет создавать разнообразные панели и меню со сложной иерархией, изначально доступны меню быстрого запуска вверху экрана, а также довольно удобные панели слева и справа.
Присутствует возможность рисования пиктограмм любых размеров. Все элементы рабочей области могут получить свою «шкурку» (skin), так что итоговые тематические оболочки почти не уступают Talisman по функциональности. Программа поддерживает некоторые плагины от LiteStep. Изменение любого объекта в интерфейсе Aston происходит путем нажатия правой кнопки мыши и выбора в меню пункта Settings. Вся рабочая область состоит из элементов, и при необходимости можно отключить непонравившееся меню или наоборот - создать несколько новых пунктов. Aston довольно стабильна и отличается высокой скоростью работы. В shareware-набор входят четыре различные темы для оболочки. На сайте находится большой архив разнообразных тем, плагинов и утилит для Aston. Программа поддерживается всеми 32-битными системами Windows.
