VIA VT6047 Pico-ITX Motherboard Is Launched |

Компания Via выпустила самую маленькую материнскую плату в мире, предназначенную для использования в компактных встраиваемых системах с архитектурой x86. Новая материнская плата основана на форм-факторе Pico-ITX, представленном компанией в январе текущего года. Размер VIA VT6047 Pico-ITX составляет всего 10x7,2 сантиметра, то есть более чем на 75% меньше по сравнению с существующим Mini-ITX, вот уже как 5 лет являющимся промышленным стандартом. Новая плата обладает лучшими свойствами энергосбережения и теплоотведения, поддерживает энергоэффективные процессоры Via С7 и Via Eden с пассивным охлаждением. Создание материнских плат форм-фактора Pico-ITX послужит дальнейшей миниатюризации встраиваемых компьютерных систем, считают представители компании, как это произошло после разработки форматов Mini-ITX и Nano-ITX.
