Сегодня в 12:07 по местному времени было взорвано здание Страховой компании "Volkswohlbund" в центре Дортмунда (Германия). 61 метровое здание построенное в 1973 году пренадлежало сносу. 4700 тонный колосс железобетона был взорван 50-ю кг взрывчатки распределенной в 950 точках всего здания. The Adobe® Photoshop® 10.0.1 update addresses a number of issues discovered after Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended (10.0) software were released.

The most significant fixes in the Photoshop 10.0.1 update include the following:

• A crash that could occur when Microsoft Intellipoint software is installed has been fixed.
• The speed of moving objects contained within multiple layer sets has been improved.
• The speed of closing large documents has been improved.
• Converting images to CMYK using certain profiles no longer results in black files.
• A crash that could occur when saving a 4-bit BMP file with 16 or fewer colors has been fixed.
• The Save for Web feature now includes an option to "Include XMP" (metadata) in the settings menu within the main Save for Web interface, making the existing capability easier to access.
• When using Save For Web with "Include XMP" enabled, all XMP data is now included in the optimized file.
• A problem that could cause the incorrect printer to appear within the print dialog box has been corrected.
• Images no longer print with odd-sized margins on various Epson printers, or print smaller and off-centered.
• Printer settings in Windows are saved with a document while that document is open. If a document has not had Page Setup settings applied to it, the document will get the previous page setup used during the current session of Photoshop.
• Photoshop now turns off Windows ICM (system color management) when "Photoshop Manages Colors."
• Print color matching has been improved.

Перевод не заменяет ни одного файла в дистрибутиве. Есть и удаление русского пакета. Если у вас Windows настроен на русские региональные настройки - то после установки русский включится автоматом. Но эта версия Сафари еще не полностью поддерживает нормальную локализацию (без замены оригинальных файлов), поэтому часть сообщений и меню все равно будет на английском

В новых операционных системах Windows, начиная от Windows XP, вход в систему начал выглядеть довольно оригинально. В отличие от старых версий, где присутствовало лишь окно с просьбой ввести имя пользователя и пароль, новое выглядит гораздо интереснее. Ведь перед нами уже целый экран с фоновой картинкой, аватарами пользователей и кнопками управления входа в Windows.
Хотите поменять экран приветствия? Проще простого. В Интернете десятки тысяч готовых вариантов! Вам надо всего лишь скачать и установить понравившуюся вам тему. Есть специальные программы (StyleXP, Logon Loader), позволяющие установить окно приветствия, но вы можете обойтись без помощи каких либо программ, просто сменив в папке WindowsSystem32 файл Logonui.exe на тот, который вы скачали, предварительно задав имя файлу "logonui". After a long and storied career, Adobe (neé Altsys, Aldus, and Macromedia) FreeHand has reached the end of its development road. The application has not been revised since Macromedia released MX nearly four years ago, after which the company removed FreeHand from the Studio product line. Adobe has created an FAQ (PDF) that explains the details of the decision not to rev FreeHand, talks about Illustrator CS3 features added to make FreeHand users more comfortable, and more. Here are the highlights:

Adobe and FreeHand
Adobe does not plan to develop and deliver any new feature-based releases of FreeHand, or to deliver patches or updates for new operating systems or hardware. Adobe will, however, continue to sell FreeHand MX, and will offer technical and customer support according to our support policies.
FreeHand Upgrade Path
A special upgrade to Illustrator CS3 is available to all registered owners of FreeHand for $199 U.S. This upgrade is available worldwide through the Adobe Store and through the Channel. There is no direct FreeHand to Creative Suite 3 upgrade, but FreeHand owners who also own Adobe or Macromedia products that are eligible for upgrade to the Suite can use that path to move to the Suite.
Support for Customers Making the Move
A number of materials are available at no cost to help customers make the move from FreeHand to Illustrator. All of these materials can be found on the Switch to Illustrator pages on Adobe.com and on the Illustrator Design Center.
