Traditional Christmas carols are given the full Celtic treatment with some new and alternative melodies thrown in to enhance the timeless poetry. Guest musicians Dave Bainbridge and Phil Hart add their talents to join in celebration of the Prince of Peace who 'came on earth to end all strife'. As befits their name, Celtish have fused Celtic instrumentation and melodies into many of the favourite Christmas Carols that we all know and love. The musicianship is first class, not only from Nigel and Julie themselves, but also from the array of world class guest musicians like Dave Bainbridge, Terl Bryant and Phil Hart who have contributed to it. And the recording and mix is absolutely excellent. It is rare, I think, these days, to find a seasonal album that is nothing more than a few old recordings cobbled together for a quick sale at Christmas. Not so here. This is undoubtedly a carefully and lovingly prepared and executed work of art with original ideas and beautiful music and mix. The final track on the album is a little diversion for the team that may not be appreciated by everyone, but it underscores the family aspect of Christmas-time, so we can easily forgive that small indulgence. 'Celtish Christmas' review by Robin Mark:
I do not have a problem with nurses. I mean, I get where it comes from but it's so ridiculous. Oh your fiance works in the medicine field, too. I can't emphasize this strongly enough. One red flag I have for Mormon girls is if they drink coffee. I think it was Spencer Kimball who counselled that before marriage you should keep your eyes wide open and then after marriage keep your eyes half shut. I have only been dating my boyfriend for just over 3 months, and he has just started his 3rd year in med school. Stopped answering texts and calls, refused to give me my belongings that he moved up to the new place, and not to mention he broke up with me over the phone after all of those years. Mormons observe the Sabbath closely, so Sundays are for attending church meetings and focusing on their spirituality.
I tried to make the marriage work but we were at two different emotional places in our lifes. I married a NOMO after a lengthy temple marriage and divorce. I think in most situations its either you join or she leaves- either you, or the church. I am getting increasingly more resentful of the times I think he can choose us instead of residency. You can't force her to change, nor should you if you could.
