Lindyhop is an American Dance art form. To put it in to a wider context, Harlem was in the throws of the Harlem Renaissance. This flourished between through to the mid nineteen thirties. At this time there was an enormous creative, artistic energy eminating from the Harlem area. Dance, music, Poetry and writing all took a move forward during this time.

His earliest experiences on stage were performing with his family's Icelandic folk group, the Hekla Singers. The family traveled around Canada playing Icelandic folksongs and dressing in traditional Icelandic costumes. After moving to Toronto in , [1] he began recording solo albums and touring with noted Canadian musicians including Tegan and Sara , Melissa McClelland and Serena Ryder. His album Young Waverer was financed using crowdfunding , and released independently.
